Electrical Entrance Cap

An item primarily designed to provide for the entrance of electrical wires into a building, structure, or inclosure and to facilitate their connection to feeders or service conductors. It consists of an insulating block and a metallic housing designed to hold the insulating block and to fit an electrical conduit, conduit fitting, or cable of a specified size. This item is primarily intended for use in exposed, wet, or damp locations and is installed so as to preclude the entrance of rain or debris into the conduit. See also cap, electrical.
