Communication Gateway Processor

An item that interconnects or bridges separate component networks into an inter-network. It implements the protocol required to interconnect the separate packet switched networks or to support direct trunk lines to another gateway. Applies to sensor and wireless networks which have undefined distance capabilities for remote operations.
