Mechanical Stop

An item designed to restrict the movement of a rotary mechanism, linear mechanism or its components. It protects a mechanism from loss of adjustment or damage due to extreme movement. It may be wedge shaped with a threaded shank projecting from the apex or it may be round or rectangular in cross section, with mounting holes or slots, and is usually longer than its width. Excludes key, machine, and bumper (as modified).
