Pelican Hook

A metal hook with a hinged point and with a sliding link, ring, bail, or similar locking device, to secure the point to the body in order to close the throat. The body may be designed of a single piece or it may consist of lin (s). When desired, the point may be released to swing outward, thereby freeing the engaged item(s) . Excludes hook, release.
